HEAT RECOVERY. Industrial operations almost always require temperature regulation of some sort. Accordingly, heat exchangers are frequently a critical piece of equipment at industrial sites. Exchangers may be used for either heating or cooling, however, in the industrial sector, particularly within plants and refineries, they are almost exclusively used for cooling. While many industrial processes require some degree of heat to function, it’s crucial to keep these processes from overheating. The industrial sector requires the use of heat exchangers to keep machinery, water, gas, and other substances within safe operating temperatures. Heat exchangers are also used to capture and transfer heat exhaust or steam that results from the industrial processes to be put to use elsewhere, thereby increasing overall efficiency and saving the facility money.
