High efficiency fuel cell designs require high temperature heat exchangers to achieve peak performance. Two of the most frequently applied processes are Molten Carbonate Fuel Cell and Solid Oxide Fuel Cell. These methods are both highly efficient but given the resulting extreme temperatures, heat recovery becomes challenging.
