Leveraging the Flex Turbine’s wide fuel tolerance, the units operate on produced gas with minimal conditioning required, reducing operating costs while converting an onsite fuel resource into reliable power.

The Flex Turbine Fleet – Built for Demanding Conditions

The new installation combines FlexEnergy’s GT333S and GT250S gas turbine generators to deliver 1.4 MW of onsite power, which is enough to maintain uptime and minimize emissions in one of the nation’s most challenging regulatory environments.

The D-J Basin sits within an ozone nonattainment area rated from serious to severe, where operators face some of the tightest emissions scrutiny in the country. FlexEnergy’s turbines are built for exactly this kind of environment: powered by our patented combustion technology, they achieve some of the lowest NOx, CO, and VOC emissions in their power class, helping this operator stay well below major source thresholds without compromising on performance. In most cases, the emissions profile of the Flex Turbine for criteria pollutants and/or their precursors (e.g., NOx, VOC) is lower than that of most utility grids.
