Irvine, CA, June 29, 2010 – FlexEnergy Inc (www.flexenergy.com), a clean tech business with the breakthrough solution to create clean energy with near zero emissions from harmful greenhouse gases, announces that the Honorable Stephen L. Johnson, 11th Administer of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) (http://www.epa.gov/history/administrators/johnson.htm), will join their Board of Directors.

The announcement occurs on the eve of FlexEnergy Inc’s August 12th celebration of the inaugural installation of the FlexPowerstation™ (http://classic.cnbc.com/id/38369694), technology that allows landfills to transform harmful and previously unusable methane gas into clean energy. Johnson will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the event, at which many environmental and political leaders are expected to be in attendance.

“I am honored to accept this appointment to a group I hold in high regard,” says Johnson. “FlexEnergy Inc is a dynamic organization at the forefront of technology that will allow the world to generate the power we need without harming the environment. I am pleased to be joining a company that makes efficient use of our resources and is committed to clean energy.”

FlexEnergy Inc CEO Joseph Perry added, “We are privileged to have Johnson join the board, as he comes from one of the highest environmental positions in the world. We know his experience will prove invaluable in guiding our environmental mission.”

Johnson brings to the board over three decades of exemplary commitment to the environment. Within the EPA, he controlled a $7 billion annual budget and managed over 17,000 employees. He is also the recipient of the White House’s Presidential Rank Award, the highest award bestowed to civilian federal employees.

About FlexEnergy Inc:

FlexEnergy Inc (www.flexenergy.com) is committed to providing platforms to utilize existing, unconventional energy sources to create new, sustainable solutions. Flex technology has taken one of the world’s largest sources of greenhouse gases and transformed it into an energy source for the clean generation of electricity, offering energy recovery where it was previously impossible.

Three hundred million tons of methane seep into the atmosphere each year, most too dilute for current technology to destroy. The FlexPowerstation™ converts gases with low concentration of methane to clean, renewable energy. Unlike other technologies, the FlexPowerstation™ creates electricity with near zero NOx or CO emissions, providing a breakthrough solution for landfills, coalmines and manufacturers needing to stay ahead of emissions regulations.
